Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star® “WV-2 Willie Victor” Limited Edition Large Mahogany Model
In 1973 and 1974, American cargo planes flew more than 400 missions into Cambodia to deliver food to areas cut off by communists. They needed airborne radar support to know where trouble was. And the Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star provided it. The Warning Star was a militarized Constellation airliner, equipped with surveillance equipment to provide crucial information about enemy locations. The Navy designated their EC-121s as WV-2, and aircrews referred to them as Willie Victor.
