McDonnell Douglas F/A-18F 1/100 Diecast Aircraft Model

If you feel the need for speed, look no further than the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18. Nicknamed the Hornet, the F/A-18 appears in the “Top Gun” sequel, “Top Gun Maverick.” It replaced the F-14 Tomcat, which appeared in the original 1986 “Top Gun” film but was retired from service in 2006.

The Hornet is capable of speeds up to 1,200 mph. It entered service in 1983 and played key roles in the Gulf War, Bosnia and Kosovo, and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This diecast metal model from High Flying Models represents the F/A-18B. The “B” designates that it is a two-seater. The plane is built in an exact 1/100 scale. Whether your interest is in the military or the movies, this model is a must-have.
