Description
Postage Stamp P-51D Mustang Tuskegee 1/100
The North American Aviation P-51D Mustang was a long-range fighter and bomber. It is considered the best fighter aircraft of late WWII—it could fly higher, faster, and go farther than any other fighter. More than 15,000 P-51’s were manufactured. P-51s were still operational (in foreign military services) as late as 1984, and they are still frequently seen at airshows. The red tail was the insignia of the P-51s flown by the Tuskegee Airmen—the first African-American aviators in the United States armed forces who fought during World War II.
This Die-cast metal model is approximately 4 in. long with a 4.5 in. wingspan.
