With its innovative RAM Yoke Clamp Base with 1″ Rubber Ball and 1/4″-20″ Tap for Camera or Video, RAM Mount brings aviators even more adaptability for in-flight enjoyment of their favorite electronic gadgets. The powder-coated marine grade aluminum mount features an adjustable clamp closure that enables users to fasten the base to rails, yokes, struts, and similar columns from 5/8″ to 1 1/4″ in diameter. Additionally, the item can secure to square structures, such as glareshields and shelves, up to 1 1/4″ thick. Once firmly in place, the mount’s integral 1″ rubber ball sits parallel to the clamp and can seamlessly connect to a variety of RAM cradles and articulating arms (sold separately). The unit also boasts a 1/4″-20″ threaded insert that will accommodate a threaded male 1/4″-20″ stud, such as the one found on the RAM 2.5″ Round Base with 1″ Ball & Camera Mount 1/4″-20 Tap (sold separately). Also ideal as a support base for camcorders and digital cameras, many of which utilize a 1/4″-20″ port.
