T-38C Talon 1/32 Mahogany Model

The T-38 Talon is an advanced supersonic jet trainer aircraft manufactured by Northrop Corporation. T-38 Talons entered service with the USAF Strategic Air Command from 1981 to 1991. The primary users and operators of the T-38 are the United states Air Force, NASA, Luftwaffe and Turkish Air Force. Other operators include the Portuguese Air Force, the Republic of China Air Force and the United States Navy.

Northrop Corporation designed the T-38 in the mid 1950s as the trainer variant of a lightweight fighter project. The first three prototypes of the T-38 first flew on March 10, 1959 and were delivered in 1961. The T-38 officially entered service on March 17, 1959. The T-38Cs are currently undergoing structural and avionics to extend service life up to 2020.
