Boeing B-29 Superfortress (Enola Gay) Limited Edition Large Mahogany Model
More than 3,000 B-29 Superfortress Bombers served in World War II, but most of us can only name one – The Enola Gay. Enola Gay was named after Enola Gay Tibbets, the mother of pilot Colonel Paul Tibbets. On Aug. 6, 1945, it dropped an atomic bomb named Little Boy onto Hiroshima, Japan. The bombing brought about Japanese surrender and ended World War II.
