CH-53E Super Sea Stallion Mahogany Model
The CH-53 Sea Stallion is among the Sikorsky S-65 family of heavy-lift transport helicopters. The CH-53 was originally developed for use by the United States Marine Corps, but it is also in service with Germany, Iran, Israel, and Mexico. The CH-53 has seen considerable use in warzones and served in various conflict during its service; starting with the Vietnam War. It proved useful during the Vietnam War, recovering even more downed aircraft than the CH-54.
This specific CH-53 model is the CH-53E, Super Sea Stallion, which is the largest and heaviest helicopter in the United States military. The CH-53E can transport up to 55 troops or 30,000 lb of cargo and can carry external slung loads up to 36,000 lb. The Super Stallion has a cruise speed of 173 mph and a range of 621 miles.
