Don’t let the name fool you. In Sam Lyons’ version of Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner is nowhere in sight – though, for baseball fans, a Cub does make a prominent appearance. However, the Cub in question is of the Piper variety; a luminous yellow 1946 J-3 model. The classic taildragger appears alongside a vintage John Deere tractor of the era while a distinctive rural hangar adds character in the background. The level of detail is amazing for a full-color illustration, particularly that of the lush grass and the verdant treeline.
