The Learjet 70 Is a mid-size business jet that was certified in 2013 as a replacement for the Learjet 40. The design of the LJ70 incorporates the canted winglet design also seen on the Bombardier Global 7500/8000. This and other aerodynamic improvements reduced drag and increased the range of the LJ70.
Two Honeywell TFE731-40BR engines power the Learjet 70, supporting a maximum speed of 464 knots and cruising speed of 424 knots. Normal range is 1,873 and maximum range is 2,060 nautical miles. The final LJ70 was delivered in March 2022, marking the end of all Learjet production after nearly 60 years.
