With its 1″ rubber ball, this powder-coated marine grade aluminum mounting base is designed to affix to a variety of RAM mounts and/or articulating arms (sold separately), so users can always count on that picture-perfect, fully customizable vantage point and hassle-free in-flight repositioning. On its opposite end, the 2 1/2″ plate features an industry standard male 1/4″-20 threaded steel stud that couples with the female thread common to many camcorders and digital cameras (not included). Additionally, should users desire a more permanent arrangement, the base features 7 pre-drilled holes, 4 of which are aligned in the universal AMPs pattern.
