Description
T-28A Trojan USAF Mahogany Model
The T-28 Trojan is a piston-engined military trainer aircraft used by the United States Air Force and United States Navy beginning in the 1950s. The T-28 was originally designed as a replacement for the AT-6 Texan, and was quickly adopted as a primary trainer by the USAF. The T-28 was used by the USAF until the early 1960s, after this it was used only for limited training of special operations aircrews and for primary training of select foreign military personnel. Many T-28s were subsequently sold to private civil operators, and due to their reasonable operating costs are often found flying as warbirds today.
This specific T-28 model is painted in the USAF paint scheme. This handcrafted model is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen with a wealth of detail and makes a great gift for any veteran, aviation enthusiast or history buff.
